We love to run this Experience since it feels like taking family friends on a road trip filled with tradition and symbols that are characteristic of the costarican Culture: Volcanoes, Coffee and Religion. There's no doubt as to why this is our best-selling One Day Tour.

The roads and route we choose let us showcase the countryside of Cartago Province, and the families and communities that live around these two beautiful volcanoes, also the tallest ones in the Country.

The cool climate contrast with the warm and traditional people that inhabit these multicolored farmlands.

Itinerary

Stop At: Irazu Volcano National Park, Costa Rica

Visit the National Park where we can check and even be inside one of the 3 craters (inactive) of the Highest Volcano in the country. We will also experience the highland ecosystem of Paramo; a tropical dwarf forest.

Stop At: Turrialba Volcano, Cartago Costa Rica

We will visit the closest town to Turrialba Volcano,"La Central Town" where the sights are impressive due to the volcanic activity of recent years which has created a barren landscape.

The town is really interesting because it's kind of abandoned and has a spooky feel to it, however, the surroundings are full of farms with picturesque landscapes and views. With some luck, we will be able to see potatoes, carrots, beets, and other vegetables being harvested by locals and learn about costarican agriculture.

Stop At: Aquiares Coffee & Community Experience, Kms North From Turrialba 7 Central Aquiares Offices Are Located Adjacent To The Aquiares Church, Turrialba 30501 Costa Rica

You will learn about the coffee history and explore the highlights of the most extensive coffee plantation in the country. With our guide you'll spot some birds common to coffee plantations and appreciate the historic value of this crop and the culture that surrounds it

Stop At: Santuario Nacional Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles, Calle 1, Cartago 97751 Costa Rica

We'll enter our country's most emblematic catholic temple which is full of beautiful iconography and a mystical aura. You will listen to the legends surrounding the history of the temple and some events that even today have not been fully explained.
