Stop At: Thingvellir, Thingvellir, South Region
You’ll begin with a visit to Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. It was here in 930 AD that the Vikings established the world’s first parliament, Alþingi. Thingvellir is also the area where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. Thingvellir also caught the eyes of the creators of the HBO series, ‘Game of Thrones,’ using it to represent ‘The Eyrie’ and ‘The Bloody Gate.’

Stop At: Fridheimar, Reykholt 801 Iceland
The next stop is at Fridheimar eco-area. Here you will learn about growing organic vegetables using geothermal heat and then be served a very delicious lunch in the greenhouse restaurant.

Stop At: Geysir, Geysir, South Region
Geysir is the home of some of the most active geysers in Iceland. The most prominent of these is Strokkur, which sends plumes of water and steam into the air every 5 to 10 minutes.

Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland
After Geysir, you will continue to Gullfoss waterfall, which many consider the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland. Formed by the river Hvítá that has its source in Hvítarvatn by the roots of Langjökull glacier.

Stop At: Kerid Crater, Route 35, Selfoss Iceland
For the final attraction of the Golden Circle, you will visit a volcanic crater lake Kerið. The crater was formed about 6,500 years ago and lies in a row of craters known as Tjarnarhólar.

Stop At: Blue Lagoon, Nordurljosavegur 9, Grindavik 240 Iceland
After your day of traveling, you will then make your way to the famous Blue Lagoon Spa.
The blue waters of this facility are known throughout the world for their healing and relaxing qualities. Some of the properties of the water aren’t found anywhere else in the world. They are known to leave the skin feeling soft and revitalized.
