We will visit one of the oldest mills in Parteolla (from the Latin Pars Olea), an area near Cagliari and particularly suited for the production of quality extra virgin olive oil. The oil mill has been active since 1600 and is still functioning. The experience begins with a visit to the production room where we can observe the machinery used for the production of the oil and view some videos. We will continue with a visit to the museum dedicated to oil. The museum not only displays many tools and machinery used over the centuries for the production and conservation of olive oil, but also numerous and rare documents and books on the subject. The visit will end with a guided tasting of the 3 fantastic oils produced by the oil mill. You will discover that oils are obtained from different olives with very different visual and gustatory characteristics and that for each food there is a correct combination.
