Set off in the morning, starting your day at the port of either Positano or Praiano and hop on the 33/36-foot (10/11-meter) boat. Relax onboard and take in the surroundings, perhaps have a drink and chat with the captain as the Amalfi Coast slowly disappears from your purview. Stare out to the beautiful shimmering sea and the Bay of Naples, going past diminutive islands along the way.
Stop a few times near islands, such as at the renowned Faraglioni rock formations or the Li Galli nature reserve, and take the opportunity to go for a swim or partaking in some snorkeling. Or talk with the captain or other crew members about the history of Capri and discuss some things to do while on the island. After the boat gets going again, stop at the famed Blue Grotto (admission at own expense), the erstwhile private bath of Roman Emperor Tiberius. Seeing the radiant blue-green waters are a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Possibility to enjoy beautiful lunch in a local restaurant, only accessible by boat (extra fee).
After getting off the boat in Capri, take up to some hours of free time to see the island on your own. Perhaps visit the historic Villa San Michele or the terraced Gardens of Augustus, the the chairlift up to Mount Solaro for an incredible view or stroll around the town of Anacapri. All admission fees and food while on Capri are at your own expense.
When the time comes, get back on the boat and begin the journey back to the Amalfi Coast. When passing the Punta Campanella marine park, stop for one last swim before finally arriving back in the early evening.
Disembark at Positano harbor, where your cruise concludes.
