Combo Tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine

Your full-day tour begins with hotel pickup at 9am in an air-conditioned minivan. First, you will visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. After, travel to Wieliczka where you will have a 1 hour break to get some lunch and then visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Your small-group will have a professional local guide with a headset at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. At the Wieliczka Salt Mine you will have a local tour guide.

Your small-group, full-day experience begins with a 9 am pickup in an air-conditioned minivan from your Krakow-area hotel or meeting place. Travel to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, where a professional guide will be waiting for you. Tour the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp and learn about its dark history and eventual liberation, beginning with Auschwitz I, the one-time SS administrative center. After a 10-minute break, continue on to the second camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau II. 

After this sobering experience, travel to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine, where you will have a 1-hour lunch break before descending beneath the ground via several hundred steps to tour the historic mine complex. You will be accompanied by a local tour guide, who will tell you about the history of one of the world's oldest salt mines as you explore amazing chambers, original sculptures carved from salt rock, and authentic miners' workplaces.

After you return to the surface, the tour ends with drop-off back at your Krakow hotel around 8 pm.
