The experiences I provide are not a form of entertainment or performance.
There are many instances were groups or teachers take advantage of foreign visitors’ lack of knowledge about Japanese culture and provide them with a pseudo experience. I sincerely believe that this is wrong and teach only teach authentic Japanese kenjutsu (Swordsmanship) and spirit.

For those who wish to have a proper experience, or want to study authentic kenjutsu, please come join one of my lessons.

The Toyama school of swordsmanship was originally taught by the old Japanese army and was the last kenjutsu to be used in actual combat.
It was developed by combining the specialties of various sword schools.
Under normal circumstances, this type of thing would never have happened.
You can experience it at the honbu dojo (headquarters).

I hope you can see the difference between real swordsmanship and sword fighting seen on TV and movies.

Itinerary

In this lesson, you can experience iai, gekken and batto(test cutting) at one time.
These three disciplines make up what is called kenjutsu (swordmanship). In iai lesson, you learn how to handle the katana. In gekken lesson, you learn how to face an opponent. In batto lesson, you learn correct cutting methods.
