• Saghmosavank Monastery wich is located in the village of Saghmosavan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. Saghmosavank was a significant center for quality scholarship and calligraphy, with an established medieval higher structure of schooling.
• Hovhannavank monastery (5th-14th cc.) is a wonderful example of Armenian Apostolic Church architecture, perched atop the Kasakh River in the village of Ohanavan.
• Amberd - the 7th century fortress located on the slopes of Mount Aragats in Aragatsotn province. Located 50 km north of Yerevan, the fortress was built to protects its inhabitants and people living in the area against invadors. Amberd is located at an elevation of 2,300m above the sea level and its name means a “fortress in the clouds”.

Stop At: Saghmosavank Monastery, Artashavan Armenia

The Saghmosavank located in the village of Saghmosavan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. Like the Hovhannavank monastery which is five kilometers south, Saghmosavank is situated atop the precipitous gorge carved by the Kasagh river, opposite Mount Arailer (2600 m), 30 km northwest of Yerevan.

Hovhannavank is a medieval monastery located in the village of Ohanavan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. The monastery stands on the edge of the Kasagh River canyon, and its territory is adjacent to the village of Ohanavan. The deep gorge is carved by the Kasagh River.

Stop At: Amberd Fortress, Byurakan Armenia

Amberd - the 7th century fortress located on the slopes of Mount Aragats in Aragatsotn province. Located 50 km north of Yerevan, the fortress was built to protects its inhabitants and people living in the area against invadors. Amberd is located at an elevation of 2,300m above the sea level and its name means a “fortress in the clouds”. Although the site has been a stone age settlment, a fortress has been built during the bronze age by Kamsarakan Family.
