Rome vineyard visit, lakeside lunch with minibus transportation

Enjoy a special day visiting a vineyard and the picturesque lakeside town of Castel Gandolfo, located 20 kilometers from Rome.

From the center of Rome, you will depart to the family owned Castel de Paulis Vineyard, by minibus at 10:00 a.m with your guide. See the vines and wine cellar and learn about the wine production. Then taste three types of wine, with cheese and proscuitto pairing.

Proceeding the vineyard, you will visit Castel Gandolfo, which overlooks Lake Albano and is known as one of Italy’s most beautiful towns.

A short walk from the town is La Gardenia restaurant, enjoy a gourmet lunch on the terrace, with breathtaking views overlooking lake Albano. You will be served handmade gnocchi with black truffles, linguine with lobster and fine wine.

Following the restaurant you will take the short train back to Rome with your guide.

From the center of Rome, you will be escorted to the Castel de Paolis vineyard by minibus, where a sommelier will guide you around the vines and wine cellars, to learn about the winemaking methods.

Wine tastings include three types of vino (Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G, Donna Adriana and Campo Vecchio).

Following the vineyard, explore the nearby town of Castel Gandolfo; the pope’s summer residence, known as one of Italy’s most picturesque towns, overlooking Lake Albano.Your guide will lead you for a short stroll around the cobblestone streets of this quaint town explaining points of interest.

Lunch will be at the beautiful restaurant La Gardenia. Here you will be served local fine wine, linguine with lobster and gnocchi with fresh black truffles. Sit outside on the terrace to enjoy the breathtaking views of lake Albano.

Enjoy coffee and tiramisu in an ancient Roman cave under the restaurant.

You will end the perfect day, with a short train trip back to Rome with your guide.
