Lake Wanchi sits in the volcanic crater of mount Wanechi crater. Aside from the natural beauty and the holy saint Cherqus church, the lake and the surrounding area are known for its many hot springs. You will discover the Ambo the natural sparkling water, which is very famous country wide. And you will walk through other water springs.
Start driving from Addis to Wanechi crater Lake, then soon take a short boat trip to the island and visit the church on the island. After visiting the churches cross the lake and start walking to the hot spring and to the natural fall. End your walking and back to the car to drive back to Addis Ababa.
