Participate in this cooking class and learn to prepare some of the favorite dishes of Guatemala that were declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in 2007. Enjoy the unique aromas and flavors of the typical guatemalaln dishes. Learn about the interesting mix of traditional Spanish and Mayan local influences in the country's cuisine. 

Pepian: this guatemalan dish varies from green to light or dark red colors, and it can be accompanied by beef, pork or chicken. Pepian is a typical dish from the departamnet of Chimaltenango. 

Hilachas: is a typical dish from the departament of Baja Verapaz, which is one of the most popular dishes througout Guatemala .

Jocon: is a representative dish from Huehuetenango wich is served in most towns of the country.

    Our activity :
• Your transport will arrive by pick up to your hotel or place indicated .
• Your tour will start visiting the central market of Antigua, here you can appreciate the daily life of local people and the trade of the indigenous people who offer all kinds of food such as fruits, vegetables and others.
• We will buy all our ingredients to prepare the dish you have chosen, at the end of our purchases, we will continue to the place where we will do the cooking class.
• Your chef from the department of San Marcos will give you the welcome together with a guide who will accompany you from beginning to end to help with the translation since the chef only speaks Spanish and his Mayan language.
• The time of preparation of the typical dish has a duration of 1 hour with 30 minutes, also learn to prepare one of our famous desserts known as Mole.
• At the end of the preparation of the dish and typical dessert, enjoy their delicious dishes accompanied by a national drink which also will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare .
• After the meal take with you recipes of the elaborated food so that you can continue making delicious guatemalan dishes in your house .
