Desert Life Experience From Marrakesh

Start your journey at 8:00 from Marrakech by 4×4, we are headed south crossing the High Atlas at Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260 meters). Shortly before we reach Ouarzazate, we will stop to visit the Kasbah Ait-Ben Haddou, M’Hamid in the evening. spend the beauty of the night in a nomad tent close to the dunes and oases.

Day 2: M’Hamid – Erg Chigaga

After breakfast continue deeper into the desert on camel’s back for about one hour, continue along sandy roads, and reach Erg Chigaga in time to watch the sun set over the dunes – dinner and musical entertainment by the fire. The night will be spent in traditional Nomad tents or you can sleep under the stars if you prefer.

Day 3: Erg Chigaga – Lac Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht - Marrakech

After breakfast we will depart Erg Chigaga by 4×4, driving along the dry riverbed of the Draa, passing by Lake Iriqui, Foum Zguid and Taznakht on our way back to Marrakech.

we drive to M’hamid, the gate to the desert. Where The sky is vast and clear in the day and filled with millions of bright stars at night. unforgettable night between golden sand dunes and palm trees.

Getaway of a calm and charming Sahara desert where you enjoy the splendor of the sunset during a guided 2 hour camel ride. Overnight including half board at Erg Chegaga Standard Camp.

After breakfast visit the old village across the now frequently dry river Dra’a. In the afternoon, there is the departure for the Erg Chigaga dunes (300m) with 60km of off-road. This route passes different features of the desert; ‘erg’, ‘reg’, ‘hamada’, oasis. These dunes are far away from civilization, in the desert proper …. Dinner and a night’s sleep are in a bivouac of nomad tents.
