Gilded Age opulent mansions and grand embassies line the streets of one of Washington DC's most fashionable neighborhoods-- Dupont Circle. On a two hour walking tour, we'll stroll along Embassy Row and see some of the city's most impressive properties. We'll discuss the stories and scandals that helped shape the Nation behind the doors of the District's most extravagant homes.

Your tour begins in the namesake of the neighborhood, Dupont Circle. Strolling down Embassy Row, we'll take in the lavish mansions of Washington's Gilded Age elite, discussing politicians, society ladies, diplomats, and captains of industry. Past Woodrow Wilson's post-presidency home, down the Spanish Steps, to the home of FDR, and a local landmark neighbors have dubbed the "The Hobbit House". We'll wrap up outside one of the best hidden gems in DC. The tour takes about two hours and covers approximately two miles of walking.
