Elafonisi Beach Trip from Rethymno

Elafonisi "deer island" is an island located close to the southwestern corner of the Mediterranean island of Crete, of which it is administratively a part, in the regional unit of Chania. When the weather is fine it is possible to walk to the island through the shallow water. The island is a protected nature reserve. We turn towards south into the heart of Crete. In Elafonisi, the south westerly point of Crete, you will have time to swim in the crystal clear waters and enjoy the beautiful sandy beach and its surrounding nature. Elafonisi in southwest of Crete is famous for its pink sand and low turquoise waters. Repeatedly this beach has been chosen to be among the world’s most beautiful. Enjoy a day in crystal clear waters by the exotic sandy beach.
As we do have a long ride to Elafonisi, we stop about 1/2 hour going and about 1 hour on our return to Rethymno
