Excursion to the Old Citadel, Coptic & Islamic Cairo, Alabaster Mosque

Our transfer bus picks you up from your hotel at 8:00 in the morning. The air-conditioned bus will take you to the Alabaster Mosque and the Citadel of Saladin. There you have about 2 hours to visit these historic buildings. The rest of the route will take you to Old Cairo with the Coptic Church, the Coptic Museum (optional visit to the museum), the St. Sergius Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. You also get to the mosque of Al Azhar. In the Coptic quarter is the Amr Ibn el-As Mosque. Built in 642, it is the oldest mosque in Egypt and, with its simple design, is a model for the buildings of subsequent epochs. Finally, visit the largest bazaar in Kairos, Khan el Khalili, with its winding streets and small cafes. The transfer bus will take you back to your hotel.
