Excursion to the waterfalls of Akchour

Talassemtane is a gorgeous national park with hidden nature treasures. This hike is an excellent way to stretch the legs and to get a tantalising taste of the Rif Mountains. right 1h away from Chefchaouen city.

There are little tea shops here and there along the way. You reach the petite Cascade after about one hour. Beyond the petite cascade the route is a little tricky with lots of crossing and recrossing the stream on stepping stones. but our guide who knows the place by heart will show you the path so just focus on enjoying

Once we are at the big waterfalls there will be be a jaw-dropping and stunning-beyond-words waterfall oasis of aqua green and turquoise water waiting at the end of the hike. Pictures don’t do it justice. The waterfalls are so high, you have to take a panoramic shot from the ground up to fit it all in.

After staying there and take the lunch or just a mint tea (optional) we will hike back to Akchour village.Another cozy 45 minute taxi ride back to Chefchaouen.
