If you want to get a taste of the authentic local culture instead of visiting the standard tourist attractions in Tirana, the best thing to do is to jump into this day tour. First thing on the menu today is a delicious traditional Albanian coffee, which we will enjoy on our way to the first bazaar called Çam bazaar. We will have a chance to try Byrek, which is dough with all kinds of filling such as cheese, meat or spinach, at a small local place that only locals know how to find. The tour will continue towards the Medrese bazaar, which is a busy bazaar full of colours and people. This bazaar is the biggest one in Albania. The third big bazaar, located in the most colourful area of Tirana, is called the New Bazaar. Here we will try the traditional Qofte, small pieces of meat filled with spices, and a traditional Albanian refreshing drink called Bozë. To end this tour in the best way, we will try some Albanian Raki. As we Albanians say, there is nothing that Raki can’t fix!

Çam bazaar was founded by the Albanian Çam community, who originally came from an area called Çameria in today’s North-western Greece. Here you can buy all kinds of goods from clothes to kitchen equipment and bargain with the sellers for a cheaper price. We will have a chance to try Byrek, which is dough with all kinds of filling such as cheese, meat or spinach, at a small local place that only locals know how to find. On our way to the next bazaar, we will pass by some famous sites in Tirana, such as the Skanderbeg Square and the clock tower, and walk through local neighbourhoods. The tour will continue towards the Medrese bazaar, which is a busy bazaar full of colours and people. This bazaar is the biggest one in Albania. There are wholesalers, retailers, and you can certainly find everything you are looking for. On our way to the third bazaar, we will pass some cheap shops run by the Chinese community in Albania, who got stuck here during the communist period, and the bicycle bazaar where you can find a lot of antiques (and of course bikes).
