Stop At: Sung Sot Cave, Halong Bay Vietnam
Sung Sot Cave was allegedly first discovered by the French in 1901, who took it upon themselves to name it “Grotte des Surprises”, or Surprising Cave, because of its ‘surprising’ beauty (although the name didn’t catch on until a good 40 years later). The cave welcomed its first visitors in 1993, a mere one year before Halong Bay would receive its first bestowment of World Heritage site status from UNESCO.

Stop At: Soi Sim Island, Halong Bay Vietnam
Soi Sim Beach is the safe place for swimming in Halong Bay. It is a small island, which located 12km west of Ha Long City. With the area of 8.7 hectare, the beach and the island has very special geological formation in which 2/3 covered by Feralit and soil weathered by wind. It also includes a primitive forest with varieties of flora and fauna, and plants endemic to Halong Bay Ecology.
