This city developed considerably after the Apparitions of Fatima event, in the beginning of the 20th century, becoming one of the greatest centers of the Marian cult in Portugal, recognized worldwide by the Catholic Church. Here you can admire the magnificence of the Shrine of Fatima, which, loaded with symbolism, blesses the hearts and minds of thousands of pilgrims.

Afterwards, we suggest stopping in Aljustrel, where the three little Shepherds were born, so that you can get to know the original context of the apparitions of 1916 and 1917 and the life of the little prophets, with a visit to a museum house and an ethnographic museum.
