The village of Batalha is worth visiting for its extraordinary Gothic Monestary, which dates back to the 14th Century, and which King John 1st of Portugal dedicated to the Virgin Mary for helping him win the Battle of Aljubarrota (fought between Spain and Portugal).

A fishermen village strategically located on a very high sea cliff. Today, Nazaré also welcomes many surfers who come to surf the world’s biggest wave! This is the perfect spot for a gastronomic stop, after the fishing traditions of the people of Nazaré.
