At the indicated time, we will depart from Santiago towards the small town of Ponte Maceira. In it we will know the bridge of Roman origin that gives its name to this place. This stone footbridge that crosses the Tambre river is also an important passage area of the Camino de Santiago, since this is the first stage of the Camino to Finisterre.
We will make our next stop at the Muxia Sanctuary, the Virgen de la Barca, next stop of the Camino de Santiago to Finisterre, and where the local legends tell that the Apostle Santiago arrives to preach with the stories of Jesus.
Then we will leave for the town of Finisterre where, we will have time to wander through its small streets of a fishing village, get to know its fish market and discover its wonderful fishing port.
Finally we will head to Cape Finisterre, to enjoy the world-famous Sunset. This magical event was enjoyed by Romans and Celts, who delighted in this magical phenomenon, which surely leaves no one indifferent.
While we enjoy the sunset over its captivating landscapes, we will remember some stories and legends related to the environment.
We will finish from here we will return to Santiago de Compostela by bus.
