Food Tour with Volunteer option

This tasty tour is for the food lover in you. Join in for some authentic Puerto Rican cuisines made by the locals and learn how to make dishes just like they do with the included cooking class. This tour is perfect for tasting the true flavors of the island.  Snacks and bottle water will be provided and the best part is you eat what you cook!

You will be picked up from your hotel or cruise dock in  the San Juan area. The first stop will be La Placita de Santurce. This open market is known for locally grown fruits, vegetables and roots. On your visit you will get to learn and taste some of our delicious treats such as quenepas, papaya, passion fruit  and sweet pineapples

Our 2nd stop is just steps away from isla verde, Los Pinones is true gem to locals but an unknown place to most tourist. This beach side location is known for it's fried fritters, fresh sea food and true authentic Puerto Rican culture. At this destination our guest will learn and create their own fried fritters such as alcapurria, pastellios, and mofongo. 

After lunch guest have the option to volunteer for an hour and a half of beach rehabilitation or return back to their pick up location.
