Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Wine Tour from Cape Town

Relax as you sip your way through Cape Town's wine country. After the collection, settle into a luxury coach equipped with onboard amenities including a toilet, reclining seats, free Wi-Fi, and USB charging ports. Your guide tells you stories about the early Huguenot emigrants who brought their winemaking skills to the Cape over 300 years ago. 

Your first stop is at Bloubergstand Beach. It is from here you can get a picture-perfect view of Table Mountain from across the water of Table Bay.

Afterward, reach the rolling vineyards on your way to Franschhoek. Arrive for a late morning stop at Backsberg Wine estate (subject to change). Join their cellar master and staff for an informative tour of their winemaking facility and cellar. This is followed by an opportunity to taste their classic red and white wines, complimented with a cheese pairing. 

Then explore the town of Franschhoek, dating back to 1688. You have two hours to explore this quaint village, enjoy some lunch, or have another wine tasting. Nestled between towering mountains in the beautiful Cape winelands, this is the food and wine heartland of the country, where splendid wines are grown and our top chefs create international cuisine.

The afternoon takes you over the "Hellshoogte" mountain pass to Stellenbosch, the second oldest settlement in the Cape, where you reach the Vergenoegt Wine estate (subject to change) for an afternoon tasting of some of their specialty wines. Highlight here is the "Duck Parade", where some 900 ducks march past you in formation.

Back on the coach, savor the late afternoon sun on the return drive to Cape Town, where our tour concludes at the City Sightseeing ticket office at the V&A Waterfront (or return to your chosen collection point).
