Stop At: Tafraoute, Morocco
Tafrout is a small Berber city in the Moroccan Anti-Atlas. The city is located in the heart of the Ammelne Valley, approx. 180 km south of Agadir, in the middle of an impressive granite landscape
We drive through the Anti-Atlas in a four-wheel drive vehicle and have breathtaking views of spectacular valleys and small villages.
We will take a look at the palm oasis and the surroundings of Tafraout. The huge, painted granite blocks - by the Belgian artist Jean Verame in the early 80s - are impressive.
We drive past the "Lions Head", a rock formation in which a lion's head can be recognized.
In a nearby town, visit a traditional Berber household, which is now run as a museum
After lunch we follow the winding road through the anti-atlas towards Tiznit. On the way we always see almond trees and oases that accompany us to the goal. In TIznit, known for the "blue spring" and its 6 km long city wall, we will make a short stop to get to know this beautiful city with its medina, squares and shops.
After a day, with many impressions from the Anti-Atlas, you will be satisfied and will return to your hotel.
