Stop At: Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador

known as "Avenida de los Volcanes Tour", you will also see other volcanos like; Atacazo,Corazón, Ilinizas, Pasochoa, Rumiñahui to finally reach the entrance of Cotopaxi National Park. From here the adventure starts driving between grasslands. This Park has more than 92,000 acres of extension with a variety of trails, lagoons, rivers, waterfalls and of course, the Cotopaxi Volcano, which captivates with its majesty and beauty. In this area you can also see an exuberant flora and fauna, being the condor an icon in the Andes. At the Limpiopungo lake, it is possible to walk 2 miles to observe some birds endemic from the park. Then by car we will continue our drive to the parking lot at 15.000 ft. and finally a hike to the basecamp at 16,000 ft. Of course, this last part will depend on your physical conditions. At the end we can enjoy a typical lunch at Hacienda La Ciénega, It was the residence of the French Geodetic Mission that came to Ecuador and measured the middle of the world on 1736.
