Full-Day Pico Island Tour from Horta

The tour begins in Madalena, next to the maritime passenger terminal, towards São Mateus, visit to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus Milagroso. Visit the Regional Craft House where you can enjoy beautiful works made in fish scale, tooth and whale bone, lace and embroidery. You will also taste some of the traditional dairy products from Pico and lunch typical dishes in a local restaurant. Following to the Lajes do Pico, known as Whalers Village, visit the Whalers Museum. While crossing the island until the North side, we stop by to visit Lagoa do Capitão. In São Roque, brief stop by the commercial pier of the island. Return to Madalena, through the extensive lava field of the Mistério das Bandeiras. Ending the tour in the Arcos do Cachorro (interesting rock formations punctured by tunnels and caves), proof of traditional liqueurs and spirits in local winery. The tour ends in Madalena by 6:00 p.m.
