You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Purana Qila or Old Fort. Get transported back in time as you climb up the ramparts of the fort and cast your eyes on the verdant green expanse intermingling with the ruins of an era gone by.
Next visit Feroz Shah Kotla. Built in the latter half of the 14th century by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq, this is the 5th city of Delhi. Believed to be haunted by Djinns (ghosts), the sprawling ruins of this fort contain remains of palaces, mosques, a stone pillar from the Ashokan era and a step-well.
Take a break for lunch (beverage excluded) at a local restaurant.
After lunch, drive to the tomb of Safdarjung. It is a beautiful building made of marble and sandstone and dates back to the 14th century. It is the last garden tomb built in the architectural style of the Mughals. It was built in memory of Safdarjung, the prime minister of the Mughal Emperor Ahmad Shah Bahadur.
End your tour with a visit to the Lodhi Gardens. This sprawling garden in the heart of the city contains several archaeological finds from the 15th century. Notable among these are the tombs of Mohammad Shah and Sikander Lodhi, Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad.
At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel.
