This Trek is popular among trekkers who have limited time in Nepal and do not have the previous history of trekking. The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek route leads you on an enchanting journey through wide open valleys, sparkling waterfalls and dense rhododendron forests.

The Poon Hill at an altitude of 3120m is famous for a breathtaking panorama of the Himalayan ranges it offers such as Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Annapurna I 8091m, Machhapuchhre 6998m, Nilgiri 7041m, Annapurna South 7219m, Annapurna II 7939m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, and Lamjung Himal 6988m. It is one of the most spectacular mountain spots where you can enjoy fabulous sunrise and sunset over the Himalaya.

On the same time, we can explore the UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu and beauty of natural place Pokhara, which makes your trip more interesting and attractive.

Itinerary

Day 1: Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu.

Pass By: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
where you will be welcomed by the representative from Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Pass By: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
After breakfast, we start for Kathmandu city tour which includes the four of the UNESCO heritage site in the valley.

Pashupatinath: The temple is one of the most sacred pilgrims’ sites for Hindus all over the world. It is the temple of Lord Shiva, the temple where the dead bodies are criminated on the bank of Bagmati River.

Boudhanath Stupa: which is one of the biggest stupas in Asia and holiest Buddhist Pilgrims and famous tourist destination in Valley. It is also famous for over 50 Tibetan gompas or monasteries.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: It holds the places of the ancient king who ruled over the then Kathmandu Kingdom.

Swayambhunath(Monkey Temple): It is located in the heart of the valley, it is another famous tourist destination and holiest Buddhist pilgrims, it is also known as Monkey temple among tourist.

Day 3: Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m) takes about seven hours.

This drive will take most of our morning time, leaving much of the afternoon to get a warming glimpse of Pokhara Valley and fall in love with its ethereal beauty.

Pokhara is the tourist’s paradise full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, Buddhist and Hindu temples along with the magnificent views of mountains. You can observe the glistening white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 4: Day 04: Drive from Pokhara (915 m) to Nayapul (1050m.) takes one and a half hours.

Pass By: Birethanti Bridge, Birethanti 33700, Nepal
You begin your trek from Nayapul (1050m.) and pass via Birethanti (1065m.). The first part of your trek is comfortable, alongside numerous small hamlets and settlements. Afterwards, you ascend gently to the final destination of the day to Tikhedhunga (1577 m). The journey will involve four and a half hours of trekking. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 5: Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2675 m) takes about six hours.

Your trek begins with a steep 2 hours ascend and then level gently passing through Magar villages of Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti. On the way, you can see the scenic view of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and Annapurna south (7219m). Now your trail becomes easier, as it passes through the forest and descends gently to the final camp. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 6: Day 06: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3180m) and follow to Tadapani (2675m).

Pass By: Annapurna Mountain Range, 33500 Nepal
The total duration of the trek for the day is about five and a half hours. Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3232m.) allows you to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. En-route, you will frequently see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, local birds and green vegetation. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 7: Day 07: Trek from Tadapani (2675m) to Ghandruk (1950m) takes about three hours.

Pass By: Old Gurung Museum, 5 Kaski, Ghandruk Nepal
It is an easy descent all the way, passing through the dense forest of oak, rhododendrons and fir. This is one of the popular destinations for bird lovers. Ghandruk is a picturesque Gurung village famous for culture and traditional hospitality. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 8: Day 08: Trek from Ghandruk (1950m) to Nayapul (1050m.) takes about three hours.

Pass By: Pokhara Lakeside, Lakeside Rd, Pokhara 33700 Nepal
The early part of your trek is a steep descent following the stone staircase to Kimbu (Beehive). Kimbu or Beehive is located at the elevation of 1200 meters on the bank of Modi Khola.Following the river with deep valley and pony trail. Drive by car to Pokhara around one and half hour.

Day 9: Day 09: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes about seven hours.

On the way, you will head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar, where Nepal’s first cable car joins the Manakamana Temple. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to the capital city of Kathmandu.
