The Golden Circle Express Tour is ideal for those on a business trip or other limited time, but still want to cover some of Iceland’s most popular attractions. Although this is an express tour, we include the main attractions of the famous Golden Circle route, such as Thingvellir National Park, the site where the Icelandic parliament of Althingi was founded in 930, and the site of the split between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates. We will visit the Gullfoss Falls to enjoy the sound of the falling water and the energy of the falls. Gullfoss has breathtaking views from different viewpoints. We then stop at the Valley of Geysers to see Strokkur, the largest geyser in operation in Iceland, erupt and walk along a trail along a field full of small hot springs that boil and breathe geothermal activity and experience the energy of Icelandic nature.

Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland

Thingvellir National Park is known both historically and geologically. Stop At: Haukadalur, Haukadalur, South Region

During this stop, we will take a walk through the small geothermal valley of Haukadalur, famous for its Geysir and Strokkur hot springs. Although Geysir is inactive today, Strokkur, the largest active geyser in the country, erupts every 5-10 minutes at an altitude of 20-35 meters (60-100 feet).

Stop At: Gullfoss Waterfall, Blaskogabyggd Iceland

Gullfoss is one of the most famous and beloved waterfalls in Iceland, it consists of two steps. The first cascade is 11 meters (33 feet) and the second drop is 21 meters (65 feet). The walls of the canyon into which the waterfall flows reach heights of up to 70 meters (230 feet). Geologists believe that the canyon was formed by glacial outbursts at the end of the last ice age.
