Gullfoss is one of the most famous and beloved waterfalls in Iceland; it consists of two steps. The first cascade is 11 meters (33 feet), and the second drop is 21 meters (65 feet). The canyon walls into which the waterfall flows reach heights of up to 70 meters (230 feet). Geologists believe that glacial outbursts formed the canyon at the end of the last ice age.

Kerid is a compact crater with a small lake at the bottom, formed after an eruption about three thousand years ago. The crater is 55 meters (180 feet) deep and has an oval caldera as a part of the larger Tjarnarholar Fault, including several craters and hills. We can walk around the crater or go down to the lake at the bottom of the crater.
