Sunset Cycle Tour of Ahuriri Estuary including Winery - Guided

This twilight guided cycle is perfect for those short on time.  The route is approx. 16kms on flat, off-road cycle trail and includes a visit to a winery, abundant bird-life around the Estuary and a refreshing drink at a local pub in the bustling, historic port village of Ahuriri.  The tour operates on demand from 4.00pm - 7.00pm during the daylight saving months of October through to March.  Experience lots of this beautiful region's highlights in the company of your knowledgeable local guide.

Stop At: The Urban Winery, 3 Ossian St Ahuriri, Napier 4110 New Zealand

Your twilight cycle starts by cycling the short distance to the National Tobacco Building, one of New Zealand's most photographed buildings with its distinctive Art Deco style.  Now home to the Tony Bish Urban Winery we make a visit to sample the chardonnay made onsite.

Stop At: Hawke's Bay Trails, Napier 4144 New Zealand

Your twilight cycle starts at 4.00pm at the Takaro Trails base at 9 Nelson Quay, Ahuriri, Napier. You will start by cycling the short distance to the National Tobacco Building, one of New Zealand's most photographed buildings with its distinctive Art Deco style.  Now home to the Tony Bish Urban Winery we make a visit to sample the chardonnay made onsite.  Joining the cycle trail we then meander approx 10kms through a low-lying wetlandarea that was all part of a large tidal inlet before the 1931 earthquake.  The trail continues through sheep farming country before completing the 16km loop back to Ahuriri.  The tour ends with a well-deserved drink on the deck of a waterside bar where you can enjoy views of the sun setting over the water before returning to base at 7.00pm.
