Your guide will meet you at the McDonald's in front of Amarin Plaza. Once you have met you will be given a short introduction about the day ahead before moving out to begin the tour.
There are seven enchanting deities with roots linked to ancient Hindu tradition are located within walking distance in the area, sitting alongside the shopping malls and hotels. You will be invited to share in the worship of these deities, make your own wish and light your own candle.
Next to each shrine you will find local sellers, where you can buy the appropriate offerings for each God in various sizes. Your guide will tell you about the history and myths of each deity, the divine symbols and how to worship properly.
Some of the deities you will encounter include Lord Indra - recognized as the god who takes care of all humankind, Erawan shrine and Phra Phrom - famous for bringing good fortune, and the Elephant God Ganesh - promotes creativity and protection from harm.
As with temples, for visiting shrines it is recommended to dress polite and to wear shirts with sleeves, avoid shorts, vest tops and open toe sandals.
