The most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. Get to hear inspiring stories of how they were rescued and how they have improved under David Sheldrick Orphanage.

Stop At: Giraffe Centre, Duma Rd, Nairobi Kenya

Breeding of the endangered Rothschild Giraffe is one of the main programmes of the center.

The calves are then released into the wild at two to three-years-old when they are independent enough to survive. So far we have released more than 40 giraffes into safe game parks and conservancies across the country. Working together with Kenya Wildlife Service’s (KWS) veterinary doctors to keep the tower in good health.
