Family Hiking: Forests and Men, The Makes Window

A family forest loop punctuated by breathtaking views of the Cirque de Cilaos and Piton des Neiges to discover the endemic nature of the island and its exploitation by man.

Come and discover the forests of tamarinds, colored woods, cryptomerias and old geranium cultures while skirting the walls of Cirque de Cilaos.

Welcomed by your guide in the village of Les Makes, you will join the start of the hike at the "Bras Patate" car park. You will reach the panoramas of Piton Cabris then of La Fenêtre. If the heart (and legs) tell you, the circuit can be extended to Petit Mapou and Camp 2000.

Children: The main difficulty lies in the altitude of 400m and the length of the hike about 6 km

Minimum age recommended: 10 years.
