Discover some of the oldest surviving churches in Barbados, as your tour guide take you on a 2-hour journey back in the history going as far back as the 16th century. History comes alive in these churches as you walk from church to church. St. Mary Church has a rich history, built of brick with a Georgian architecture vaulted ceiling. Learn about the famous citizens who were buried in the graveyard of St. Mary Church. Take pictures as you stroll from historic church to church.

After meeting your guide in the morning, you'll follow them to several historical houses of worship, starting with St Mary’s, which was constructed in 1825 and consecrated on July 27th, 1827. Then, admire the barrel-vaulted ceilings and clock tower of the church which is a Georgian-style building that was constructed in the mid-1800s. Stroll to James Street Methodist and hear the riveting history of how one of Barbados' heroines kept the Methodist flame alive.

Your guide will then walk you to the St Michael Cathedral. Originally completed in the mid-1600s, the cathedral was destroyed by a hurricane and later rebuilt to hold 1,600 seats. Learn about the rich Nidhe Jewish Synagogue, built in 1654 and beautifully restored in the late 1980s after being abandoned for nearly 50 years. Also discover the history of the Mikvah.
