The sport requires focus and skill to master and demands respect from the ocean in order to stay safe and understand your limits, creating a careful balancing act between risk and reward, daring and foolishness. Before heading out to try your luck against the currents and the waves, a quick lesson can make the difference between success and failure as you test yourself against the Pacific Ocean.

Your morning surf lesson starts with your choice of times between 8 and 11 am, Monday thru Saturday, beginning on the hour. After meeting your instructor, you will start with a brief orientation to gauge your comfort level on the board and go over best practices before heading into the water. This intermediate lesson is for those with prior experience surfing - you will be tackling breaks requiring a moderate comfort level on a board and standing up on your own. With more than 20 years operating lesson along Maui's south shore, the surfing school you are partnered with has a proven track record of teaching new skills without compromising safety, ensuring a memorable experience you will remember for a lifetime. 

After two hours of repetition and practice, your instructor will guide you back to shore for a rundown of your lesson a quick moment of reflection. If you enjoyed it, you can continue the fun with a intermediate or advanced lesson back on the water.
