Hurulu Eco Park locates closer to Habarana city, which is a popular tourist destination of Sri Lanka. Hurulu eco park was established as a forest reserve in 1977 and it covers the area about 25.50 sqkm.This park is ideal place to spot the Sri Lankan elephants (elephas maximus maximus). You can get a chance to closely observe their behaviors. Minneriya and Kaudulla national parks are the most popular elephants roaming areas closer to Sigiriya and Habarana. But, when those parks are inaccessible for some reasons, Hurulu eco park is the best alternative option for jeep safaris. Safari will take about 2.5 hours.
