Would you like to discover the most amazing spots in Gran Canaria? Do you want to enjoy a getaway far from the touristic areas? This Jeep 4x4 Tour will allow you to visit beautiful hidden spots within the island.
The Tour starts in the south of Gran Canaria and proceeds all along Santa Lucía’s ravine towards Sorrueda dam. There, you will pay a visit to the Fortaleza de Ansite (Fortress of Ansite), one of the greatest archaeological sites in Gran Canaria. This fortress is composed by 3 different volcanic plugs such as Fortaleza Grande, Fortaleza Chica and Titana (Big Fortress, Small Fortress and Titana). Soon after you will arrive at Santa Lucía and then make a break in order to have lunch at a famous restaurant.
After lunch you will continue on your way down the valle de las mil palmeras (thousand palm trees valley) towards Fataga, whose archaeological heritage is known worldwide. Once there, you will get the chance to walk through its old town and its cobblestone streets, appreciate its traditional Canarian houses and know more about the indigenous background of Gran Canaria.
The Tour ends at a viewpoint called ‘Mirador de la Degollada de la Yegua’, aka ‘Mirador de Las Moscas’ (Moscas is Spanish for ‘Flies’), from where you can take beautiful pictures and observe the Dunes of Maspalomas.
