Our Jewish heritage food tour takes you on an incredible journey through more than 2000 years in the Jewish Ghetto. Although the walls of the ghetto are gone and most of the old buildings demolished, the Jewish history and culture still lives on in the food, stories and ancient ruins here.

We start along the same route where Roman soldiers would parade on their return from a triumphant battle, before taking you into the heart of the Jewish Ghetto.

You’ll break for sweet treats and hearty Jewish fare at the most authentic kosher style restaurants and bakeries along the Portico D’Ottavia, while listening to fascinating stories from your local guide.

Along the way we’ll see The Great Synagogue of Rome and the ancient open-air Marcello Theatre, two beautiful buildings with an interesting past, before getting exclusive access to the building that houses what was once the oldest standing Synagogue in Rome.

Learn about the history behind the Jewish Ghetto and savor traditional food.
