Jinshanling Great Wall Hiking Day Tour

Take a break from busy Beijing for a full-day hike along the Jinshanling Great Wall of China, one of the world’s most famous monuments. Hike the section of the Great Wall from Jinshanling to Simatai West . A beautiful and less-crowded section of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. See parts of the Great Wall that have been carefully restored as well as sections that have not been retouched. After the 3- 4 hours hiking, have lunch at a local restaurant  before returning to Beijing.

Pick up time : Normally, Pick up at hotel lobby at 8:00 am - 10am ( During China National holiday pick up at 6:30- 7:00am ). We could advise reasonable starting time base on your request.

It will take 2 hours driving from hotel to jinshanling Great Wall which located Miyun county of Beijing. We will drive directly to jinshangling main entrance . You can call it Jinshanling west part. If you are really physically in good conditions , you may hike from the west part to east part jinshanling. If you are not , you may choose cable car up and hike several watch towers on the great wall , and then cable down.

You are not allowed hike from jinshanling to simatai now . Simatai section was blocked from jinshanling great wall . Some companies still claim could hike from Jinshanling to Simaitai . To be honest , that is just from jianshanling west ( Main entrance ) to Jingshanling east. Or we could say from Jinshanling west to Simatai west. That is why some companies claim : Jishanling hike to Simatai.

The hiking is about 6 Km and takes 3-4 hours . Through the whole journey , you across many watch towers and barrier towers. You could see the difference between the renovated section and wild section.

Lunch , we will have it in a farmer local restaurant . It is simply and local food. If you don’t want to it . We will back to hotel directly.

It will take more than 2 hours back to hotel.
