Kathmandu easy hiking (Nagarkot to Changunarayan)

Kathmandu easy hiking is an easy nature hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan. Nagarkot is the popular Himalayan viewpoint about 30 km from the Kathmandu City. The hill station is located at an elevation of 2,175 meters from where majestic Himalayan panorama can be observed. In a clear day, one can notice Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Numbur range including Mount Everest. The hike starts from Nagarkot passing along forested area, villages, small tea shops, farmlands. It ends at the temple of Changunarayan. Changunarayan is a Hindu temple of Lord Vishnu and also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site inside the Kathmandu Valley.

Itinerary

In the morning, pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu then drive to Nagarkot. Enjoy the breathtaking Himalayan view from the Nagarkot view tower on a clear day which also includes Mt. Everest. Then start the hike walking downhill passing along forested areas, farmlands, small villages, teashops and arrive ChanuNarayan Temple. It's an ancient Hindu temple and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, drive back to Kathmandu and drop-off at your hotel.
