Stop At: Jvari Church, Mtskheta Georgia
The great church of the cross – Jvari (586-604) is one of the most important architectural structures in Georgia and the world in general. The view from Jvari church is one of the most exciting, as from the distance it looks like an ending of the mountain silhouette. There are many religious buildings with a similar architecture both in and outside Georgia but you won’t find any that are older and more complete than Mtskheta cross.

Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, the “Historical Monuments of Mtskheta” became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. As the birthplace and one of the most vibrant centers of Christianity in Georgia, Mtskheta was declared as the ” Holy City” by the Georgian Orthodox Church in 2014

Stop At: Stalin Museum, 32 Stalin Avenue Stalin Park, Gori 1400 Georgia
This impressively designed museum is dedicated to the life of Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union who was born in Gori. The Dzhugashvili family’s wood-and-mud-brick house where Stalin lived for the first four years of his life is under cover outside the museum building

Stop At: Uplistsiche Cave Town, Kvakhvreli 15 km Eastwards to Town Gori, Gori 1423 Georgia
Uplistsikhe was the center of a large region, which was widely involved in international trading and economic life. It is supposed to have had over 770 caves in ancient times, but only 150 ones are preserved now. Among the most important places to visit are the amphitheater, Queen Tamar’s hall, the prisons, the wine presses, the pharmacy and the three-nave basilica.
