Kumasi is full of History and culture.Being the capital of the historic Ashanti Kingdom and Region. The Manhyia Palace is the seat of the Asantehene of Asanteman, as well as his official residence. Kumasi is home to the biggest market in West Africa: the open-air Kejetia Market that sells everything from Ashanti sandals to glass beads. Visit the National Cultural Centre to see craft workshops and dance performances and includes the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, which displays jewelry and ceremonial clothing belonging to the 20th century Ashanti king.

Visit the Traditional Adinkra village to learn about the history of all the famous Adinkra symbols and their significance in our every day lives here in Ghana.

Also with us we take you to the Famous kentey weaving community where you learn about the Authentic traditional Ghanaian fabric and a bit of history.

Kejetia market - the biggest market in West Africa with plenty to see and shop: Africa handmade glass beads, fabric and much much more

Kumasi Art and craft market (the biggest in Ghana with a wide range of variety)

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Manhyia Palace, Palace, Kumasi, Ghana
Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asantehene as well as his Official Residence
Duration: 2 hours

Day 2: Kumasi

Stop At: Ntonso Adinkra Craftsmen, Ntonso Road Ntonso, Kumasi Ghana
About an hour and half drive from the centre if the city to the Historical Adinkra village where you will be met with the community based tour guide who will take us through the History of the Famous Adinkra symbol and their meaning and significance in our every day lives.

you will have the opportunity to choose your own Adinkra symbols to print on the fabric and take it away as a souvenirs

A community based Eco tourism which weaves quality Kenty fabric and offers you with a great weaving experience and also the history behind these beautiful famous authentic African fabric.

on this trip we will be taken to the cocoa plantation as well to learn more uses about medicinal and other uses of cocoa, other than just the chocolate we all know.
