Late Evening Heritage Tour of Ahmedabad with Overnight Stay

On this evening tour drive past some of the heritage monuments of the city of Ahmedabad. The oldest city of the West Indian state of Gujarat, it was the first city in India to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Drive past some of the finest Indo-Islamic monuments and exquisite Hindu and Jain temples. The carved wooden houses are another unique architectural tradition.

Day 1: Ahmedabad Arrivals

You will be met at the airport upon arrival in Ahmedabad and transferred to your hotel in a private vehicle. Standard check-in time at the hotel is 2 p.m. Early check-in is subject to availability of rooms.

In the evening, you will be picked up from your hotel for a tour of the heritage monuments of the city. You will drive past the famous bazaar at Sheth ni Pol, followed by Shwetambar Jain Temple and Harkunwar Shethani Pol. Go past a unique market that sells second-hand books at Fernandes Bridge and look at the shiny brassware at the largest market for brass items at Chanda Ol. Drive past Khetarpal Temple and a Silver Refinery. Next visit the heritage building of the Ahmedabad Stock Exchange, the second oldest Stock Exchange in India after Bombay. Drive over to the tomb complex at Rani no Hajiro. Next see the heritage buildings around the city square, Manek Chowk.

At the end of the tour, stop for dinner (own expense) at a local restaurant.

After dinner you will be dropped back at your hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel Fortune Park, Ahmedabad.

Day 2: Ahmedabad Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel. You will then be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight.
