Mactan Island and Cebu in One Day with Lunch

Visit Fort San Pedro and trace back the history of the colonial city, then observe how the local people express their faith at the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino and Magellan's Cross.

Then head to Lapu-Lapu on Mactan Island, connected by a bridge. The city was the site of the 16th-century Battle of Mactan when Spanish conquistadors suffered their defeat at the hands of the Filipino people, led by the ruler Lapu-Lapu. A shrine in the hero's honor is among those frequently visited by tourists.
