After pick you up from your hotel or AirBnB you will head to the charming little town of Isla de Maipo Once home to a large Italian community that chose to settle their homes and businesses as in their hometown because of the perfect weather and rich terroir of this land which resulted in delicious wines that these same families have been perfecting for almost 100 years so that you can come taste them in a perfect atmosphere combining Chilean countryside customs with the classic Italian feel (or touch)

Stop At: Vina Tarapaca, Fundo El Rosario de Naltahua S/N, Isla de Maipo 8320000 Chile

You will stop in this hill that is a perfect view point of the valley with beautiful landscapes of the wine region, Maipo river with the Andes in the background. It's possible see flora beside different agricultural farm as avocados, oranges and much more. You will know why the name of the town is ''Isla'' that is Island.

The first winery to visit is ''De Martino'' own by a family who came from Italy in 1934 and settled in Chile in Isla de Maipo. They agricultural practices are based on organic principles and timely harvest, with the aim of achieving balanced wines.

The visit include a full guided tour through the vineyard, gardens, warehouse, barrel cellar to finish with full tasting of 4 wines. All the tour you will have the company of an expert of the vineyard.

Depending the availability as optional winery of De Martino we'll visit this winery Santa Ema that have high performance wines producing in this valley plus a beautiful vineyard surrounding by hills. If the time allows we'll visit this winery in addition.

You will walk through the main avenue of the town where you will see different vintage stores, know about the different production of the region. Stop in front of the church to know the history of the miracle that saved the town from a terrible flood.

This is a boutique winery runned by its owners that produce wines and liquors using the old fashion techniques of their ancestors.

Here you will enjoy a wine and cheese tasting plus an interesting explanation in they charming museum.
