Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslu circuit trekking is a Trekking around Manaslu Massif (8163m.) and the eighth highest mountain in the world. Manaslu circuit trek is a less crowded trekking route of Nepal than other classic treks. This is one of the off beaten trekking trails of Nepal.

Manaslu circuit trekking trail goes through the traditional village of Hindu and Buddhist religious settlement. During the Manaslu circuit trek, you can explore the panoramic views of kind snow-capped mountain ranges ie. Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh etc. The Manaslu trekking trail commences from Soti Khola which is the low altitude point then the altitude rises constantly up to Laekya La pass(6160m).

The wonderful landscapes, green countryside, lush forests and the gorgeous views of the huge glacier and snow-capped mountain make of trip extra special. Manaslu Circuit Trekking trail is a restricted area for the sole trek. So, you need at least two trekkers and a registered local trekking guide to trek in Manaslu region.

Itinerary

Day 1: Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1334m) and transfer to the hotel.

Pass By: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our representatives will greet you and will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2: Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and preparation day.

Pass By: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
After breakfast, we start for Kathmandu city tour which includes the four of the UNESCO heritage site in the valley.

Pashupatinath Temple: The temple is one of the most sacred pilgrims’ sites for Hindus all over the world. It is the temple of Lord Shiva, the temple where the dead bodies are criminated on the Bank of Bagmati River.

Boudhanath Stupa: which is one of the biggest stupas in Asia and holiest Buddhist Pilgrims and famous tourist destination in Valley. It is also famous for over 50 Tibetan gompas or monasteries.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: It holds the places of the ancient king who ruled over the then Kathmandu Kingdom.

Swayambhunath(Monkey Temple): It is located in the heart of the valley. It is another famous tourist destination and holiest Buddhist pilgrims.

Day 3: Day 03: Drive to Sotikhola(700m) 6-7 hours trek

Pass By: Manaslu, Gorkha Nepal
Today morning we will take a bus from the new bus Park to Sotikhola. It will take 6-7 hours to reach Sotikhola. After, reaching Soti Khola, your guide will transfer to the teahouse for overnight.

Day 4: Day 04: Sotikhola to Machha Khola (869m) 6-7 hours

Pass By: Manaslu, Gorkha Nepal
Sotikhola is the starting point of your trekking. The journey to Machha Khola is a relatively easy trekking trail. We will pass through the Gurung settlement called Lapu Besi.

From there you will continue you trekking through Khanibesi and ultimately to Machha Khola. From Machha Khola you can collect the North East view of Ganesh Himal.

Day 5: Day 05: Machha Khola to Jagat (1340m) 7-8 hours

From Machha Khola the trails slowly ascend to Khorlabesi which offers you the wonderful view of Ganesh Himal. Along the way, at Yaru Phat you can see an amazing waterfall. You then trek through the rock and stone paved trail. Just before Jagat, you will pass a bridge that is made of the rock. From Jagat, you can enjoy the superb views of Sringi Himal.

Day 6: Day 06: Jagat to Deng(1860m) 6-7 hours trek

The trail to Deng is mostly rough at uphill. Deng is another small Gurung settlement which offers the superb views of Siringi Himal. Mani wall is another attraction of Deng.

Day 7: Day 07: Deng to Namrung (2630m) 6-7 hours trek

Pass By: Namrung: Thakali Hotel, Gorkha, Nepal
The trail from Deng to Ghap combines uphill, downhill and the easy trekking path. From Deng you will first get to Gap, then you will trek through the dense pine and rhododendron forest to get Namrung for the overnight. The mesmerizing view of snowcapped mountains Sirimgi Himal and Ganesh Himal makes your today`s trip awesome.

Day 8: Day 08: Namrung to Lho (3180m) 4-5 hours trek

Today, we start our journey to reach Lho. It will take 4-5 hours to reach Lho. The wonderful views of mountain greet us all the way. Little ahead, Sho welcomes with wonderful views of the Manaslu North face and Naike Peak. From Lho you can catch the panoramic view of Manaslu Massif. Rimung Monastery and the Mani walls are other attractions of Lho.

Day 9: Day 09: Lho to Samagaon(3520m) 4-5 hours trek

Pass By: Samagaon: (hotel name), Samagaun, Nepal
Today, we walk through the Mani walls then pass a big Chortens before Shyala then you will continue the trekking to Samagaon. Manaslu will accompany you all the way to Samagaon. Samagaon is a wonderful Gurung village with Tibetan like traditions and culture plus the views of Manaslu, Larke peak and Naike Peak is absolutely fantastic.

Day 10: Day 10: Acclimatization day in Manaslu Base Camp.

An extra day in Samagoan is always worthwhile. Today you can either hike up to Manaslu Base Camp(4400m.) or visit the wonderful Birendra Tal. On your free time, you can just relax.

Day 11: Day 11: Samagaon to Samdo (3875m) 4-5 hours trek

Pass By: Manaslu, Gorkha Nepal
Today, you will take steep uphill trail first to Kyonggma Kharka where you can see the stone huts plus long Mani walls. Samdo will welcome you with stunning views of Naike and Pangboche peak. You can also explore the Taka Chouling Gompa in Samdo.

Day 12: Day 12: Samdo to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi) (4460m) 4-5 hours trek

The trail from Samdo first ascends to Larkya Bazar which is a fair seasonal Tibetan market. Further, you will trek to Larkya Phedi. You can enjoy the superb views of Larkya Peak and Naike Peak from Dharamsala.

Day 13: Day 13: Larkya Phedi to Larkya La pass(5160m), further to Bimthang (3590m) 6-7 hours trek

Pass By: Manaslu, Gorkha Nepal
Today, we will be going to pass the tough trekking route where you will walk through the moraine route. You can able to see larky Glacier along the way. The magnificent views of Kanguru, Annapurna II, Himlung Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kang, Larkya Peak, Namjung Himal plus Ranta Chuli make your today, strip fabulous. After Larya La pass the trail is steep descent plus grassy moraine. As it is rock fall area walk carefully.

Day 14: Day 14: Bimthang to Dharapani(1963m)7-8 hours trek

Today, we start descending down to Hampuk, a rock shelter cave than to Yak Kharka. Further, you will be trekking through Gho-a Gurung village. Furthermore, you will trek to Tilije for the overnight.

Day 15: Day 15: Dharapani to Besisahar (760m) 5-6 hours drive

In Kathmandu, you will have time for last-minute shopping. farewell Evening dinner at an authentic Nepalese restaurant with a cultural performance.
