Our Marietas Islands snorkeling trip is different from other trips! We only take small groups and our trip is really focused on snorkeling and enjoying the beauty of the islands.

In the round island is located the HIDDEN BEACH, that, to reach this secluded paradise, the swimmers need to go through a short tunnel and swim from the boat a distance of 200 meters.

How work the access to the hidden beach in the Marietas Islands?

Since its reopening, the Mexican National Park System (CONANP) has set a strong control and restrictions in order to assure the conservation of the Park.  

Entrance to the hidden beach CAN NOT be guaranteed and tour operators have to check availability the same day with Bahía Unida Association and with CONANP, since they regulate the spots per boat.  There are only 116 spots per day for 176 authorized boats. Our guide and boat captain have no control on this situation and hold no responsibility.  Booking in advance does not guarantee access to the hidden beach.

Regulations for visiting the Hidden Beach:
• Closed on Monday and Tuesdays.
• Age limit 10 to 65 years.
• Allowance 10 minutes visit on the beach
• Helmet and lifejacket are obligatory to enter
• All participants must know how to swim
• For safety reasons; NOT expecting mothers, high blood pressure, heart or neck problems. 8:30 am - Meeting point at Ecotours office in Marina Vallarta

Check in and pay in cash directly at the booth $ 5 usd per person the Marine park entrance and conservation fee ( 2 brazalets not included)

9:00 am Departure time directly to the National park of Marietas Island. 

10:00 am Check in with the park ranger and then we will have 2.5 hrs to discover a vast colony of sea birds, such as the true pirate of the sky, the magnificent frigate bird, egrets, herons, sea gulls, pelicans, brown boobies and the world famous galapagos Blue-footed Booby. Different species of corals inhabit these areas and of course, many different species of fish enjoy the safety and productivity of the surrounding waters. You might spot King Angelfish, Panamic Sergeant Majors, Cortez Chubs, Giant Damselfish, Moorish Idol, Rainbow Wrasse, and many more.
