Plateau de Kik & High Atlas 4x4

Departure in 4×4 to Lake Lalla Takkerkoust. Shortly before the dam, the car will leave the road and take a trail that first winds through the plain. Then begins the climb to the plateau of Kik, giving very beautiful panoramas with the lake as the center.
Arriving on the plateau itself, the trail advances among the cereal crops. You will cross several Berber villages. Still, the plateau is dominated by the High Atlas range and its peaks at more than 4000 meters. Shortly before Moulay Brahim, the trail passes at 1350 meters of altitude before beginning a fast descent to the val d’Asni. In this descent, beautiful views of the Mount Toubkal massif, snow-covered during the winter and spring.
From Asni, you will follow the Tizi N’Test road, passing through the Moulay Brahim gorges, in the direction of Marrakech. In Tahanaoute, a small secondary road allows reaching quickly Thnine Ourika. The itinerary then goes up the Valley of the Ourika, to the restaurant where the lunch is scheduled.

Your trip starts at 8:00 a.m. Your destination will be the famous Kik Plateau, but before you reach there, you will enjoy some exciting landscape views. On the road to Lake Lalla Takerkoust on the Nfis River, a beautiful panorama on the Atlas mountain range. We will join the track road passing through several Berber villages, situated at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. You will continue your drive at an altitude of 1350m. At this point, you will realize that you are dominating the view and admiring an extraordinary landscape diversity of the famous Kik Plateau known for its cereals and olives agriculture. You will have the chance to visit some Berber villages in the mountains and familiarize yourself with their simple, peaceful yet difficult lifestyle. This trip is also a chance to be acquainted with the culture of the region and its resources.

We continue to the plateau of Kik, a very beautiful panorama having a lake-like center. Plain dominated by massive water-bed of the dame and by the chain of the High Atlas (tops with more than 4000 meters). After this, we stop at the holy village “Saint Moulay Brahim” (there is an annual holy ceremony that is held in July). Now, we arrive at the beautiful spot of Asni Ouirgane, with a splendid sight of Mont Toubkal, Covered with snow during winter and in spring.
Leaving Asni, we will follow the road of Tizi- N-Test, in the direction of Marrakech, passing by Moulay Brahim Gorges, on the way and an Argan oil co-op. At Tahanaoute, there is a small road to join quickly the valley of Ourika where a delightful lunch is reserved in a good restaurant. After lunch, you may spend your free time taking photos, chatting with local people, and discovering the area. or hike with a local guide to the first waterfall. Before going back to Marrakesh.
