The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Athens by your English-speaking driver.
Our first stop is the Battlefield of Thermopylae: A battle fought between an alliance of Greek city-states, led by King Leonidas of Sparta and the Persian Empire of Xerxes. Here you will
see the statue of Leonidas of Sparta and the 300.
Our next stop is Meteora: You will see all six monasteries and visit the three of them inside. The Monastery of Great Meteoron, the Varlaam Monastery and the Roussanou Monastery. It is a medieval Orthodox monastery complex, standing atop cliffs and is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Byzantine monks have built the monasteries right on the top of those rocks dating back from the 12th century. These cliff-top religious communities are hovering at a height of 600 meters above the ground, offering panoramic views. Enjoy postcard views and plenty photo opportunity stops to record your memories.
Our last stop will be Kalambaka town where we will stop for lunch.
