Begin your day with a visit to a traditional workshop that produces the famous “paja toquilla” hats known as Panama Hats, which actually originated in Ecuador. During your visit to the workshop, observe the entire process to produce the popular hats. Afterwards you will join a visit a local house where the family will be awaiting your arrival for a demonstration of preparing traditional foods. This delicious meal is then served to your table with a selection of fresh spices.

After your culinary experience, continue with a walking tour of the historic district of Cuenca. Your first visit will be to the neighborhood of Todos Los Santos, especially known in Cuenca for producing traditional bread in wooden ovens. As you continue leisurely strolling through this beautiful city, learning of its history and unique architecture, you will visit some of Cuenca's most attractive sites such as City Hall, the Parque Calderón, the newCathedral, and the flower market as one of the most outstanding Ecuadorian flower markets.
